Software Tester Trainee (working from home)

We’re excited to be hiring a Software Tester Trainee, to join our growing team. This role is only available to people eligible to work as part of the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.

What’s the kickstart scheme?

Kickstart offers an opportunity of a 6 month work placement (25 hours a week), accessible to young people aged 16-24 who are in receipt of Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

What you’ll be doing:

Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
Executing tests on software usability
Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team
Interacting with clients to understand product requirements
Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems

Job requirements
This is for you if you have:

Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs
Working knowledge of programming
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset
You’ll be required to operate within the Company Values, which are: Doing what we say we’ll do, being innovative and caring about each other and our teams

What are the working hours?
You’ll work 25 hours per week. The times will be agreed between us upon joining.

Where is this role based?
You’ll be working full-time from home. This is UK only.
