Service Manager
39 hours per week
£22,962 – £23,545 pro rata, dependent on qualifications
As a Service Manager at Autism Initiatives, you will experience a rewarding and worthwhile career. You will have the ability to empower and inspire staff to deliver a high standard of individualised, person centred support. We are currently seeking a manager who also has the ability to lead and manage a supported living service.
You will report to the Area Manager and focus on providing and achieving operational management of the service, ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual requirements. As a manager you will promote and embed a culture of responsibility and commitment to the role, you will also motivate staff to complete ongoing professional development ensuring they maintain their drive and enthusiasm for the job.
Good knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition and a passion for continual achievement and development is important in this role, though we will also provide you with continuous training programmes to build on existing knowledge and to support your continued professional development. A desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people we support is essential for this important role.
Ideally you will already have a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification, or equivalent and experience. If you have not obtained this qualification, Autism Initiatives will support you to obtain the qualification pertinent to the role following a detailed induction.
To successfully fulfil this role you will lead the team in a solution focused approach demonstrating resilience and enthusiasm, empowering people supported to achieve positive outcomes through listening and working together.
Staff are required to work shifts on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and may also be required to complete sleep ins.
This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS). The cost of which will be met with by Autism Initiatives.
Throughout the COVID 19 pandemic we continue to prioritise the safety of our staff and people with autism; we are working together to make sure that we reduce risk of infection and support everybody’s wellbeing as we go through this challenging time.
At the moment, our interviews are being conducted remotely to minimise risk and ensure we are adhering to government guidelines. Autism Initiatives provide staff with appropriate PPE to ensure the safety of our staff and people with autism and reduce the risk of infection.
From October 2021 following Parliamentary approval and a subsequent 16 week grace period, anyone working in a CQC registered care home in England for residents requiring nursing or personal care, must have had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, unless they have a medical exemption.
